I solved the issue. Switched a bunch of stuff. Ultimately, the thing that fixed it was removing the original alarm system

Help with Starter solenoid in SoCal!

Yes, its not the solenoid. It was the toyota alarm system. I brought my car to a car alarm shop and they removed it for me really quickly. Have had no issues at all since March.

Help with Starter solenoid in SoCal!

Hi all, I've been dealing with this intermittent starting issue as outlined here: Click but no start! I have replaced the fusible links, installed a new starter, new battery, and new ignition switch assembly, but still having this issue, probably 3-4x per week. Leaving me stranded for anywhere...

    3 Link vs. Superflex?

Sweet, thanks for the info. I am stationed out here on the East coast, but travel back to California a lot for work, so my Tacoma is here and my Land Cruiser is in Cali. I've taken the tacoma to Rausch plenty of times, as well as AOAA, which is a neat park as well. My Tacoma does well at...

    3 Link vs. Superflex?

Another question I had: At what lift height do we need to consider double cardan drive shafts? Would we only need this in the front or front plus rear?

    3 Link vs. Superflex?

The Science Behind Superflex Arms | Superior Engineering ^^ according to this page, if you look at the chart towards the bottom, where it says TEST 1, TEST 2, TEST 3, TEST4: The TEST 1 shows 97mm of travel for stock setup with swaybar connected. Thats only 3.8 inches. TEST 2 shows 155mm (6.1...

    3 Link vs. Superflex?

Well, I never even had a 4x4 until my tacoma, 3 years ago. After about a 2 years of research and learning, I was considering installing long-travel, and realized that although high speed desert driving and jumps may be fun, I don't really have a desire to do that. I would rather have more...

    3 Link vs. Superflex?

For those of you who are suspension gurus, can someone debate and explain the science behind the benefits and negatives between a 3 link set up (something like 4wheelunderground's kit) vs. superior engineering's superflex vs. slee's 4inch or 6inch lift kits? I see people running all sorts of...

    Click but no start!

Thanks! I replaced the starter last month because of different symptoms, it would try to crank but sounded like it got stuck and wouldn't start the engine, but have not had that issue once I replaced the starter motor. Thanks for all the responses! My battery is good, connections are good...

    Click but no start!

I have a question. So my 1995 Land Cruiser will intermittently not start. This has only occurred while the engine is hot. After driving normally, I will park to get gas or make a phone call and shut the engine off. Then 10-15 minutes later, I will try to start the car. All the lights on the...

I checked the website, didn't see it. Do you think they'll still make one of these front bumpers?

    Builds Ryans 3 linked FZJ80

I enjoyed your build thread so far! How have you liked the 3-link kit, now that you've had it a few months? Also, how much more work do you think it would have been to go 40" tires instead of 37"? Also, what did you do for the rear suspension?

    Husky or WeatherTech Floor Mats?

Anyone have a web-link to these? On the Husky and Weathertech websites, they link to generic mats, not fitted specifically to the land cruiser.

    Maintenance at 200k miles

Hi friends! I have a new to me fzj80 at 200k miles. It was well taken care of, but completely stock with no upgrades. What items (aside from pesky heater hose, replacing all fluids, brakes, oil/air filters) should I look into rebuilding/replacing/inspecting? The engine shows no leaks currently...
