    2.5" or 4" Lift...Shackles, Springs and Shocks

I’ve seen a few threads, and some people upgrade from 2.5 to 4, others go from 4 to 2.5. I’m going to go straight to 4. Someone on one of my threads about lift options claimed that their 4 inch skyjacker had a better ride than their OME kit that they replaced. Skyjacker 4 inch is what I’m doing...

    FJ40 Heritage Program Request

This would be so exciting. It would be so nice to get legitimate Toyota parts, and not have to deal with shipping costs of overseas or parts from a warehouse.

    Warn winch 8274

Where do y’all get an 8274? I don’t want to spend 2500 bucks on an old winch that was sold for a trillion years. Is eBay or Craigslist a place to look? I am also unsure about what to look for and what to avoid. Advice?

Yea, just you are the second person to comment on the shocks

Hell for stout vs skyjacker 4 inch lift?

Hell for stout vs skyjacker 4 inch lift?

Softer than OME? I heard skyjacker has good flex too....skyjacker is sounding Inciting

Hell for stout vs skyjacker 4 inch lift?

I have heard good things about both lifts. What is muds opinion on them? I'm deciding on a 4 inch lift.

FJ40- Three on the Tree vs 4 speed on the ground

Yea I have to agree a little on this one. At times, selecting gears on the 4 speed is a shot in the dark. It’s pretty lose. It’s more traditional of a manual but can be a little weird to get used to, I guess it’s the same with the 3 speed too. (3 speed probably more refined but something to get...

FJ40- Three on the Tree vs 4 speed on the ground

Also noticed your bio said 16. Awesome to have another youngster on here. Thought I was the youngest one here haha Edit: the 40 is extremely rough. If it’s your daily, make sure it is what you want, because it is a rough ride. A lot different than a 100 series. Pretty much the only comfort...

FJ40- Three on the Tree vs 4 speed on the ground

My take: don’t buy a car for the next guy. Buy what you want. Also 4 on the floor is extra gear and more fun imo

Also another question: how fast can I go downhill with a B engine without over reviving it? It screams pretty loud on the highway I think, I haven’t taken it out on the interstate in a while, but I am not sure how fast I can go downhill without damaging it

Question: how tippy are 4 inch lift with 33s? I know 40s are too heavy, and I am wondering how careful you need to drive if you have a 4 inch lift and a roof rack? I’m just planning for the future. Roof rack isn’t necessary but it looks cool

@cbmontgo how tippy is your truck? Would a roof rack be too much? I’m thinking about going for a similar set up to yours (4 inch lift with 33s)
