I remember looking at it at one point, and to run an AC throughout the day, you really need to be connected to 30amp service, or leave a generator running all day. Unless there is some ultra-efficient new AC setup, it won't run off the battery alone.
My guess, you are about to lose a coil pack. Check for engine codes & the air filter like others have said. The coil pack going out can cause misfires, but it has to exceed a certain number of the in a minute before the check engine light comes on
I've decided to sell my Hundy. I don't plan to be gone long, as I plan to find a Troopy to build in the next year, and may buy a 1st Gen Tacoma or earlier mini-truck If I get time to get out again soon.
I will be working on washing it this weekend, and taking some additional pictures, as well as updated my parts list that will go with it. The belly plates are not currently installed for recent maintenance completed and intend to leave them off in case someone wants to get a look.
1999 Toyota Landcruiser (I am the 2nd owner) and have owned it since 2007. It had roughly 67k miles when I bought it, and I am still just under 150k (149,650 and counting). It has the rear AC, and factory electronic rear locker. All around, mechanically, she’s very good, I wouldn’t hesitate...
I currently do not run spacers, but I bought them, and have them for front and back I think (never installed). I'm running 35x11.5's , and there is rub on full turn/compression. I have never used snow chains in the front, and always been fine just running them on the rear.
THanks Jon, let me see where it is at now, if it's close to being charged, I'll probably just leave it for the day on the small charger, since I won't be able to test it out until after work. I saw you coming down Unser yesterday, must have been just before this post.
The LC battery died (Odyssey 2150) and the only charger I have is a trickle charger that maxes out at 3.5 A, and it's just not going to cut it. Anyone have a higher output (preferably 50+ amp) battery charger that will work with a AGM battery I could borrow for a couple hours today or drop off...
