Awesome ride and deer! That's about the size of my one Coues deer out of 3 total trips. Struck out in the Superstitions back in 2016, got one in the Chiricahuas the next year, and then struck out in New Mexico last year in the Gila NF.
I'm heading to Arizona tomorrow for a late muzzleloader elk...
on a side note, I did get the LED headlights figured out and installed prior to everything going to pot. These are 1000% better than anything I have had on the truck before.
Really thinking about going with one of Kelly’s custom grilles and headlight surrounds to delete the corners. These...
Truck is in the shop so at a stand still with a garage full of new parts. I dropped off the new H55F at the transmission shop last Monday, and told them I would get the FJ to them Tuesday. Well messing with the truck Monday night in preparation for that, it developed a fuel issue. Almost no fuel...
Nothing too much to report as of yet except I made the plunge and just ordered my H55F and a T-Case rebuild kit.
Truck's build date is 10/86, so should be a quick and easy drop in, with no other driveline mods required. Local shop quoted me $1000-1100 for dropping the old assembly, rebuilding...
Did a quick search on here with no results. I just picked up a ‘13 GX460. We only have 1 kid, so was curious if anyone has removed the 3rd row seats and built a storage compartment in the space that it would leave? Thinking just a hinged, tilt up shelf to throw stuff under.
Okay, update:
Looks like it was a series of unfortunate events. Replaced one of the fusible links, and got my taillights back. Jumped the circuit breaker and got the cabin fan back running.
Still don’t have brake lights. Thinking I need to throw different bulbs in to make sure.
Still have to...
Well, if you read my earlier post about identifying what ended up being the AC Amplifier, I replaced my blower motor resistor, blower motor relay, checked that the blower motor wasn't just bound up inside the housing, ran it direct with a battery, double checked the circuit breaker, etc all...
I just had a run in with another FJ owner.
I was in a drive-thru line, come around a corner and there sits a pretty nice FJ62 is parked there just to the side. Checking it out a little closer, it had a new style ARB bumper, a roof rack bolted directly to the roof, LED headlights, 18" chrome...
It was out on the bench when I tested it. The motor is about the only other thing to test/replace other than the wiring in between the relay and the motor itself.
I just already had the resistor out before the suggestion to reset the circuit breaker. Which now that I think about it is probably all that it is now that I have replaced just about everything else.
I do love this forum.
