Awesome race guys! Looking forward to seeing all the photos and hearing more about the course. I’m curious to read about the comparison from previous years.

Strangely enough I saw some rust in the rear doors of my buddies 76 coming from Toyota Gibraltar. I was shocked... Hoping that going through Dubai gets me a better vehicle that hasn't been sitting around as long. @SNLC, keeping them washed is what I do. Clean the bottom of my 200 and my caravan...

    Builds The '93 Troopy Hodgepodge

@SNLC, do the new 70's have the same rust issues as they used to, or has Toyota improved on their body production? I'm getting ready to purchase a new VDJ79 double cab out of Dubai and I'd like to keep that thing as clean as possible. I also live on the SW coast of Angola, so I know salt air is...

Yeah, every time I see these guys drive the death acre in Angola, I cringe. Saltwater covering those vehicles.... the future is rusty...

2021 Toyota Land Cruiser Prado/150 pictures

Sorry mate, while still a capable vehicle, that's an LC Prado. Similar in size to our 4 Runner, though I think the chassis is more like the Lexus variant.

Anyone wish for a Manual Transmission for the LC300?

I'm probably the only, or perhaps one of a handful of guys on this thread with a manual gearbox 200. Mine is a LHD TTD 4.5 sourced from Toyota Gibraltar for use in Angola southern Africa. I had the option of the 4.0 V6 with an autobox, or a 4.5 TTD with an auto or manual gearbox. I chose the...

I’ve known of a number of people with the 1KZ-TE to have radiator issues. Then again, that’s in Zambia and with lots of off-road. In Europe where parts and service abound, it may never be an issue.

    Worst cup holders ever designed?

I'm in a similar situation. I bought the 200 because I needed extra seating for kids and translators, and travel weekly into remote areas of Angola for days at a time. I needed something reliable and tough, but that won't beat me up along the way. Those cup holders, that cool box, the A/C and...

    Events/Trails 200's, 100's and 80's through the Rubicon!

Who's Brian, and where can I see more of his 70/80 series? The 70 series body is nice and lean. Good size for a rock crawling cruiser.

Seeing your kids enjoy some of the things you also enjoy is one of the best feelings in the world. Good on you for getting the family involved.

    Worst cup holders ever designed?

Of all the threads a Toyota engineer could read when developing the next gen LC, this could be the most important, 😁

    Worst cup holders ever designed?

Ever ridden in a 70 series? If you want proper cup holders, you have to mod it. There’s only a small one. The 200 is significantly better than the 70 or 80 to me.

    SPC UCAs hitting fender well

Just to be clear, I see nothing wrong with the SPC UCA’s or any others for that matter. If you send it or hit a sand ledge hard like I did, you’ll have max up travel and will hit the bumpstop, and if that’s not enough, may even contact the wheel well. Personally, I wouldn’t let that Stop me or...

    SPC UCAs hitting fender well

I’ve had hard contact, but never punched a hole through my fender well. The bumpstop on the LCA probably could do to be lengthened a little. Maybe progressive one like was said previously.

Wow! That’s a cool behind the scenes tidbit. Anything else jettisoned that would normally be on a cruiser to make it race ready? That is aside from visually obvious things like window glass, etc.

    Considering a 200 Series - Some Questions

I can fit three car seats/baby seat/boosters in the 2nd row just fine. I tend to find those have a larger footprint than most teens/adults. As for leg/foot space, the middle seat will have the least. Just have your tall son sit behind the shorter occupant, which sounds like it may be your wife...
