Front Drive Shaft / Differential leak; Oil Seal & dust cover replacement

Depends on the size and type of fuel filter used. You might dbl check its free flowing. Fwiw Ive used a small motorcycle type ff and one of the openings got hot enough to deform and wouldn't breathe.

Front Drive Shaft / Differential leak; Oil Seal & dust cover replacement

Have you checked the breather is working? If its the stock breather those get corroded and stop working and wont vent- causing the seals to weep..

Where to get new front diff?

Agree -doubtful its CVs or flanges as they are new but its easy quick check- Remove grease cap and check c-clip and axle stub condition, also get under the truck and check for play in the CV axle- up/down, in/out. Check diff gear oil: Remove fill plug and check gear oil level- should be with in...

Dobinsons rear bumper install with pictures

Look underneath and inside that apron on driver side- there are some plugs on the underside that provide direct access to the tire jack compartment and various 12v wire leads. That saves coming through the side of the apron and resides slight higher- less chance of water intrusion.

    Camping and Trails near Ellijay?

Roads are all forrest roads- very easy and sometimes muddy. If you have GPS- check out the Georgia Traverse and you'll find some tracks that lead you through the Cohuttas which is a National Forrest area West of 515. Pay close attention to your blind curves on the dirt roads, there you may...

Builds Gerry's Build thread: "If it happens again I'm buying an Abrams"

Based on first balance TW put on it, guessing even if you did send it back to them it may not have been returned with any better result. Good deal on the local balance.

Confirm my suspicions - alternator / regulator

Parasitic draw is unavoidable- how much is controllable to a point. Less than <50mA is your target. Over that then start identifying the circuit drawing amps when keyed off. You can first check the fuses in the engine room junction box by quickly testing between the two small exposed terminals...

Builds Gerry's Build thread: "If it happens again I'm buying an Abrams"

Driveline shop on Buford HWY “Driveline Service of N.Atl” has a high speed balancer and do good work. These guys told me the same thing about Tw driveshafts that you heard- but I also take that with a grain of salt. TW has a good rep across the industry and to be fair they are best known on...

Builds Gerry's Build thread: "If it happens again I'm buying an Abrams"

I just read back a page and noticed the new Dbl Cardan driveline- cool. I'll be interested to see how that works for you. I didn't think DC was necessary unless there were some pretty steep working angles (> +4 degrees) (TC to 3rd) ; which aren't really achievable on a typical 2" lifted...
