Wanted 70 series oe cable locker hand levers

Sounds good. The install on yours looks really clean, but I feel you on getting a standard setup.

Wanted 70 series oe cable locker hand levers

No problem. Happy to send them your way if I can get my hands on the 70 series ones. Nothing is installed yet either btw, planning for it in 2021 so lots of time to wait. I'll keep you posted if there are any offline developments with sourcing these.

    Question about hand throttle operation

I do and will continue to. Just seemed broken because I could turn it just as easily but there was no response. Other vehicles I have experience with will pretty much not turn unless you use the foot pedal.

    Question about hand throttle operation

I like the location as well, pretty intuitive. Yours must be RHD with the knob close to the window? LHD is positioned close the center of the dash since I guess they both have to sit on the right of the steering wheel. I've always had the idea to use the foot pedal for that reason. I've seen...

    Question about hand throttle operation

That nut on the back was in fact a bit loose. Tightened it up and it seems to work as it should. At least it turns up and down without the pedal and feels smoother. Knowing it's working right now, I don't really like how it is. I might try something else like duncanrm or see if I can make an...

    Question about hand throttle operation

That's interesting, how does it work exactly?

    Question about hand throttle operation

Thanks, I'll check out that nut today. Good to know there isn't supposed to be a built in stop. Just want to get it working properly but don't have a comparison. Using it for the PTO is great, even if it's not the intended use. Having a stable increased engine speed without sacrificing torque...

    Question about hand throttle operation

I'm curious about how the hand throttle works in someone else's early 70 series diesel. Mine does the job but it can spin infinitely in both directions with virtually no resistance - I undulate throttle with my foot and turn until it sticks at the rpm I want. I'd like to know if that is normal...

    Wanted  1x 40 series 16" steel rim

I have three of these rims off an fj40 I bought from a fellow mud member. Looking to complete the set with 1 more. Located in Los Angeles. Cosmetic shape is not important since I'm going to blast and powder coat all of them. Don't need hub caps or the clips either.

Wanted Single 16” factory wheel 3rd gen 4Runner

If you still need I have a few of these that someone left in my garage, 16". Located in CA, free if you pay for shipping. Don't care about splitting them up

Wanted  70 series oe cable locker hand levers

Long shot I know, but looking for the levers in the picture below. I acquired a nice complete set of oe cable lockers off an hj60 in a trade and would like to see if anyone has these they can sell along with any of the mounting parts. Would like to use the 70 style instead of the floor mount 60...

Long Range or Aux fuel tanks for SWB 70s

No, of course not, you can easily get by without that equipment. Economically it makes no sense to add a long range tank, and there might be nowhere in mainland USA where fuel stops are that far apart. Owning an old 70 series isn't economic either though... at least here. I'm thinking about it...

3b time to reach temp idling

I assume you have an aftermarket gauge because you recorded the actual temperature. Where's the sensor installed? Factory position can give low readings if your coolant isn't filled to the max or fully bled, as well if you don't use the rubber o ring around the thermostat it will run cold for...

Long Range or Aux fuel tanks for SWB 70s

Thanks, me too. That's a good idea, there's very little information about increasing the range of the short ones (if you hate Jerry cans like me). I'd guess just because they aren't a popular choice for serious overland travel.. but also over a $1000 and a few hrs of my time just to not have 3...

Long Range or Aux fuel tanks for SWB 70s

Cool, I sent them an email. Their tank would be perfectly fine if it works.

Long Range or Aux fuel tanks for SWB 70s

Thanks. I searched their website and found this one for 75 and 78 series, designed to replace the same 90ltr tank that's on mine 180L Replacement Fuel Tank | The Long Ranger 180 liters is very appealing but this photo makes me sceptical that it will fit. This one looks more promising but I...

Long Range or Aux fuel tanks for SWB 70s

Hey brown Davis looks pretty ideal, and 35 more liters is pretty good. Just sent them an email about shipping to usa, hopefully not insanely expensive. Thanks for the link

Long Range or Aux fuel tanks for SWB 70s

Looking to increase my range by ~30%-50% and curious if anyone is familiar with a manufacturer making good solutions for the SWB models. I've only run 2 complete tanks since installing a 1hdt and my range has decreased from the na 3B a little more than I would like, which was already borderline...

    1HDT HDJ81 Misfire

Haven't tried it but a really long extractor like this could be ideal for the job.

Also just be 100% sure the mechanic doesn't break the stuck washers into pieces allowing bits to fall into the combustion chamber. I would want to be there to watch this
