Anyone have one of these for their FJ-40?

Half-cab hardtop. Saw this one on the internet just the other day, in case you're curious how they look.

Anyone have one of these for their FJ-40?

I've seen a few home - spun versions. They look like a 45 that didn't grow up.

    Removing vacuum transfer case actuator

Getting the actuator out is easy. Going back in you just need to be sure the fork goes onto the clutch correctly. No biggie.

    Removing vacuum transfer case actuator

Well, it is as easy as removing the other three bolts and pulling the actuator out. What may be less easy is getting a drill in there to drill hole for an EZ-out. I'm sure I am going to take some flack for this method, but I've done it and it works. You can remove the nose cone and do...

    Tandem master cylinder

Get a proportioning valve. Aftermarket Wilwood will work fine. The FJ60 MC should be fine with the drum rears.

    Tandem master cylinder

Oops, this will get interesting. I suggest the FJ80 NON-ABS four wheel disk brake MC and add a proportioning valve.

    ^^Yep.

    Tandem master cylinder

Reservoir is not the issue if set up for dual circuit brakes. I run a NON-ABS FJ80 MC. One reservoir and it works fine. I'm not seeing a proportioning valve.

A US spec 1978 FJ40 would have OEM front disk brakes.

Need help with parking brake cable install.

FWIW, the small c-clip is meant to hold the cable housing to the backing plate, on the inside. Not at the end of the cable.
