6.2 J code diesel for sale. Runs great. No oil usage or blowby. In the vehicle. Can hear run and test drive. 178K miles. This engine will run as-is for many more miles. Engine is originally from a 1982 county school board truck. Engine is complete oil pan to air cleaner with all belts and pulleys. Auto trans flywheel. Only thing I'll keep of it is the starter and A/C compressor.
The only thing that might not be 100% is a repair i had to do on the front of the crank a few years ago.
Story and pics:
Wobbled out crankshaft keyway - Diesel Place : Chevrolet and GMC Diesel Truck Forums
Engine history:
LC
Recent set of new 60G self limiting glow plugs (the German ones that won't swell)
Custom A/C brackets set up for Sanden 508 A/C compressor
Non smog J code intake
Price $350
----------------------------------------------------
And for an additional $250 I'll throw in:
an extra disassembled 1988 military 6.2 engine (40K miles) with a super nice crank and set of heads. Block has some pitting in one cylinder that may or may not clean up on a .030 bore.
extra spare good injection pump
Manual transmission flywheel. (semi rare)
Set of brand new Mahle 50MM (.020) over pistons with rings in the box. The only REALLY good pistons made for the 6.2. (I paid $300 for them)
A rubber mounted crank pulley. the upgraded one that came on 87 and newer engines to stop the belt stretch issues.
