1994 80 Series Engine, B'ham AL

$350Selling a motor I purchased from a fellow mudder, but I could not find a truck to put it in. Local pick up is preferable, but willing to assit in shipping, I have an engine hoist on site and loading will be easy. I have not personally heard this motor run but below is the original description from a long standing mudder. I have purchased several things from him, including a truck sight un-seen, here is what he said about this engine:

"Selling an engine from a 94 FJ80 mileage 190K. The truck from which this engine was pulled ran very well- started right up, behaved nicely and didn't make any bad noises or smoke. Complete with fuel injection and complete wiring harnes (uncut), alternator and belts." Quoted from original ad

PM'd you

FYI, shipping from 35201 to Phoenix would be about $250. That's assuming a lot (business with forklift or dock, etc...), but gives someone an idea of where to start.

Thanks for the input, I have a pallet on site the engine can be strapped to and as stated above I do have an engine hoist for loading in a pick-up or on a trailer. If a larger freight truck/carrier were to be used, guy down the street from me has a forklift he could drive over to load already attached to the pallet. Somebody jump on this, may be forced to move out of my current shop soon depending on business.

WOW! that's a screaming deal!

Would this work as a replacement for my 1996? I would consider buying it and refurbing everything and putting it in storage.

yep. That is a GREAT idea if you have an FZJ as a daily or a non-hardcore rig... the block and head are the same as are most parts hanging off it... the things that will be different like the intake tubing, some wiring, you can use from yours...
Screaming price and in the same city you are in... no brainer...

remove the EGR system... send the head off for rework, do the HG, clean up the intake, this would be SOO cool to have basically a brand new engine...

PM sent! Thanks, Ed
