I have a fresh carb that Jim just rebuilt and desmogged. It has all his little "touches" to make it run better. It is a 78' carb and will come with a nice painted intake manifold and carb insulator. He charges $295 for the service plus you have to pay shipping there and wait for 5 weeks. So you woun't have to wait and you will get a carb core/intake/insulator for $85.

$390 plus shipping

I bought it.

BBQ, why would you do that? I want it. Actually, I dont know what I want. My 2f engine is being machined now and should be balanced and ready to go in a week or so. I want to use the air filter, intake etc... from the 1f so I am not sure what carb would be best. Any thoughts?

Why would you want to use the 1F set up on a 2F? I love the stock Aisan carb. Glad I went back to stock. Anyone will tell you that the stock Aisan is the only way to go.

bbq, it is just that. I dont know. Also, I want to use 1f air filter housing because my housing is all pretty and painted, ready to go. otherwise I have to by new housing etc....

mcwinery,

If you're in CA and you plan to drive on-highway, you have to stay stock or you won't pass visual smog inspection (unless you've got a inside man...)

Oh, never mind .... Is this for the FJ40 ?
