Came off a 3 speed. There are gear spacers for the gear that fits in the transfer for alignment.they are in the picture There might be differences between the 3 or 4.

It came off solid case transfer. I disassembled and put the gear and spacers in the white box. I also have the front bumper extensions that push the front bumper forward. I’ll take a picture of them. I imagine the PTO drive shaft is similar but perhaps slightly different length to a 40. This was probably installed at the dealer as the floor board hole didn’t look factory.

Is 55 shaft/bearing/mount and 40 the same?

No. Up to 1/79 the FJ40 PTO driveshaft support bearing mounted to ears on the radiator bracket. FJ55 mounted to the frame side rail. The holes thru the front crossmember on the FJ55 are offset because the short driveshaft goes thru at an angle.

the bearing is the same on the driveshaft but as stated by John above the driveshafts are different between the 55 and 40
IIRCC the frame mount on the 55 attached below or very close to the riveted frame motor mount

yep that piece bolts to the frame under or near the riveted frame mount for the engine
that bearing is the same one that mounts under the rad on 40 series

Are you still interested? Found a 3/4”plywood crate I can modify. Looks like I would have to cut the driveshaft to fit. It already looks like it was welded
