So, the vacuum leak……
I remember someone telling me a long time ago the monster intake like this would not work with headers.
I test fitted the two and all seemed good so I ran with it.
Turns out….the intake is so thick it was hitting the header tubes.
I love this intake so I just broke out the belt sander and a BFH and made the two happy together.
It cost me a gasket but now it fits nice and snug
I dug up old pics and you can see the bottom of the intake is not flush to the gasket
Blow out
But I got it going and all is well for a first test drive.
I’m going to take it out now that I know what the issue is and make myself a little more clearance between the two.
I’ll be waiting on some parts so Rosie is on the shelf for a few days while I spend some time with Red and enjoy the holiday weekend.
