Thanks guys. I was lazy today and pretty much did not work on the fake 45. Bought some more supplies and ordered more stuff for the upcoming vacation build week.
Almost makes you seem more human. Your blazing progress is impressive. I have definitely taken more lazy days on my 45 build.

I touched up the light spots in the bed. I will eventually do some type of bedliner on the floor. Next I will touch up the frame that caught some blue over spray.
Then it's suspension, axles, and brakes. Going all disc this time.

I am on vacation thru June 5. Trying to get as much done on this build as possible. I got all the new stuff for the axles and brakes. Today has been a parts round up. Then cleaning and painting all these items. Hoarding Cruiser parts for the last 15 years really pays off.

Started bolting more things on the truck. I am liking this blue more and more. The contrast with the new parts and repainted items really pops.
Also got the windshield glass installed today. My local glass shop does a great job at good prices.

Pressed the bottom spring plates back into shape. Then cleaned and painted all the shackles, pins, and plates.
Got the oem springs cleaned up and ready for paint.......since I am trying to do this build on somewhat of a budget. I can always upgrade sometime down the road.

Springs are in place. Gas tank paint job turned out okay.....at least the parts you can see look decent.
Now it's axle tear down time. Luckily I am swapping to disc all round, so only need to clean the housings and 3rds.

I figure the main force is pushing down due to driver or passengers physical weight. So the nut inserts should be fine. In a roll or collision, there maybe be other forces at work. The seat belts have significant anchors and those should take the main forces in that case.
In short, good enough for me.

Rear housing is painted.
