I found a more awesome cruiser at Napa yesterday.

-planed intake and exhaust manifold
-remflex gasket
-skim coat of copper rtv around all ports
-cruiser outfitters heat riser block off
-Aisan carb rebuilt by @mattressking
-new carb insulator
-reinstalled the charcoal canister line with this oem carb

This previous (original manifold) had been planed but then the alum intake ear cracked. That was ok but it was likely warped. I went though gaskets round 20,000 miles each time.

Also, my heat riser flap fell out. Once it came apart the shaft fell out and had a huge exhaust leak. I really noticed it stumble badly and then, the flap tipped up and blocked the center two ports of the Head.

The truck is running much better, and is dead silent. That’s all I can hope for.

Also, I had a leaking 70 series wheel. These were bought from a Saudi truck that landed over here in houston so they certainly had some use.

I’ll be replacing this spare wheel with another 426016026203 soon.

The truck keeps tractoring on. 347,000 miles now.

@HemiAlex In that first pic it looks like someone tried to weld one of the exhaust horns to the manifold permanent! Awesome rig, bet she is running great now.

thanks that is what we were going for. finished sheet metal prototype and have moved to finish product. will post when done

Installed Carhartt Precision Fit seat covers to both front seats. From http://Covercraft.com $482.71 out the door. No before pictures but had the normal wear spots. Not a bad install, about 2 hours total.

Those actually look great. Are they really fitted to the truck?
Actually they are. @HemiAlex

At 1st I went to the Carhartt site which only showed the covers for ‘94 & up Cruisers. Somehow I got to http://covercraft.com/ . They get the material directly from Carhartt & then make them for certain Vehicles including our 60’s. Ordered on 4/6 & received on 4/20.

They have several Carhartt applications…the ones I got are called Carhartt Precision Fit. Overall they are a very good fit & I’m pleased. Picked them up at the Post Office, 2 hours later & done!

Added in a lid assembly from an 80 series and painted it SEM Cordovan Brown. Pretty good match. Old lid was in very poor shape. Really like that this had metal hinges vs a plastic hinge on the original.

Finally finished up Fj60 dash 2.0. Really tempted to replace the fj60 switches on the left with 80 series/firstgen 4runner switches but that will be a good ways out.

The only rear heat switch that is illuminated is from a 90 Hiace van for the 80 series blanks and the firstgen 4runner rear wiper switch fits the 80 series blank and is illuminated. I guess that will be dash 3.0

The Diff lock switch is wired into the ARB compressor harness thanks to @NLXTACY posting the harness.

The Compressor switch is a defrost switch wired into the ARB compressor harness and the decal on it is just translucent white plastic sheet with sem colorcoat sprayed over it, the image is a file pulled from online and it was laser cut through the black paint. I had to use a bulb with a green condom over the bulb to get the green color and it matches the other switches perfectly. They all dim and get brighter with the rheostat.

JDM 80 series seat heater switches are wired into the scheel mann seat heaters.

and the dual usb is from @ChaserFJ60. He also printed the entire bezel.

Came out pretty good, the pictures dont do the compressor switch justice. In real life it looks amazing
