Finally installed!
Attempted to do it alone over the weekend but I had to raise the white flag and lured my buddy with a case of bud weisers.
Took 2x as long due to the beverages.

They measured it upside down and on its side? :p

I bet it steers a lot nicer.

Rearranged the front of a Corolla that slid across the road in front of me. All occupants fine thankfully.

ARB minimised the damage but will have to wait and see if the frame is tweaked etc, photos make it look better than it is but the bar, hood, guard, flare and panel under the lights are all bent.

Don't let the insurance total your rig

Fun job on this 282k miles, triple locked cruiser for a client. We will be trying to sell this one fairly soon.

- Replaced head gasket as preventative maintenance & all things around it: coolant, oil seals, power steering system, new fluids etc
- Cleaned up the interior: did a quick wetvac & swapped in better, old OE front seats
- Installed sliders
- Quick clay bar & car wash, pressure washed the motor & engine bay

I REALLY like the Torque Pro App but I was utilizing a larger android tablet that was situated down by the shifter...Wanted something more eye level so I opted to try y old iPhone. Yeah, I had to buy another reader (the other was Android only) but it was worth it.

I might look into the piggy back as I don't like having the fuse location open. It's an aesthetic thing 👍

This is a Tab E with Torque Pro, and it sits on top of the normal dashboard. The steering wheel up down adjustment tightens it into place.

Yeah, I have a pretty good policy so hopefully they won’t total her
If they do, just buy it back, repair it and add any other mods you’ve always wanted to do and turn it into one of those dream builds that so often result from unfortunate situations such as yours. I’m sorry you’re having to go through the situation. I’m glad everyone is ok. Now, let’s see you entertain us with your version of the Phoenix rising!!! It’s so fun spending other people’s money😉.

My brother's 1997 just hit 335k miles...still going strong, still sounds like a sewing machine.
My 1997 is at 222k miles...also sounds like a sewing machine.
Bummer, mine just sounds like a forced induction truck engine:).

This old girl deserved it. Not fun, but worth it! Very tedious to do it so it doesn’t look like a half baked fog over.
Media blasting messy job!
Then POR 15 PITA. Still a bit of detail work to be done. Don't let a nice truck pass you by if she has a little hair on her.
This beauty was a classic example of a diamond in the rough. She is a HDJ LHD Euro so more worth it!❤️‍🔥

I wondered why the shocks were so harsh. I’ve never seen solid bushings for a shock. Check out this castle nut welded onto the rear lower shock mount.

Thank you! Yes that’s the plan if they do total her. Already doing some theoretical shopping!
