San Angelo TX for its entire existence. Zero corrosion.

Haha, that was a mob joke, definitely happy to hear it came from San Angelo and not the mid west.

Didn't realize these were already shipping. Mind if I ask, did you have to pay much of a premium over msrp?

1998 100-Series and a 2011 Camry as a DD... Boring AF but 200k and still going strong!

Sold my DD 2022 Mazda3 Turbo hatchback last summer. Super fun car but highly impractical for my needs.

2007 Lincoln Town Car, super clean, 100k miles, bought for $3000 from senior with a vehicle maintenance fetish. With ~20/29 MPGs (City/Highway) I basically have free gas for a decade compared to something that costs $30k. Yes, that's cope/rationalization, however, I also get S-Class MB luxury and super simple DIY maintenance, ubiquitous parts availability, prolific forum community, etc.

The fatal flaw with having the combination of Toyota Land Cruiser and Lincoln Town Car: the file architecture for maintenace, repair, and other documentation is too easy to conflate in file explorer. It's TLC vs. LTC. I was never warned, so I hope someone will benefit from this ancient, but lost, sacred knowledge.

Dealerships are all over the place on the GR Corolla, though there are dealerships out there offering them for sticker.

Beside the 2021 LC200 we have a 2014 BMW 535d. Carbon Black, 3.0ltr straight 6, turbo diesel, 8 speed ZF, M-sport

Likes
- Looks (F10 is based on the E34 and E39 designs, still nice at 9 year old)
- Drive (it is solid and quick and indeed a driving machine, both highway and corners)
- Awesome diesel torque and fuel consumption (even with current higher diesel prices). 700 miles highway on one tank.
- Changed the run flats to one size up side wall, which improved comfort and did not change drive ability
- Awesome BMW comfort seats (leg support, moving side bolsters, butt massage). These seats are just miles ahead of any car I have owned to date including the LC200. We have driven up and down to Florida multiple times and even 10 to 12 hrs is in relative comfort.
- Practical 4 door with nice big boot, yet very nice to drive day in day out

Dislikes
- Issue with DPF system, resolved 3 years ago resulting into even more power (320 HP), torque (540 ft lbs - yes, that much) and around 10% better MPG (highway at 80 it will do 40 mpg). This effective upgrade has contributed to the awesome 700miles on one tank on long distances.
- Steep depreciation, yet for long term ownership bearable.
- Potential more serious maintenance in the future, although beside the DPF issue it has been trouble free (knock on wood...). I am prepared though with ISTA+ and do not mind doing my own wrenching. And not sure what would be a good replacement if it does become problematic.

Overall very happy and will drive it into the ground.
