It’s very cheap mod. Only 65 bucks for alternator and two work hours

I dig it.

The Mitsubishi/Nissan alt is just for convenience or does it have some benefits over the stock turbo?

I’m guessing the holset turbo has gains over what you had? Lower RPM torque or more power across the RPM range?

Huh?

I don't think the alternator has much effect on the turbo......

It looks like the alternator he installed is a 150A version vs stock Toyota at ~ 90A.

I meant alternator, but haha. Yup.. That doesn’t make a lot of sense.

I did swap my Cummins alt for an Isuzu alt which had a vacuum pump on it and higher output. His doesn’t have the vacuum pump but many folks are looking for higher output alternatives

it's just a very cheap and powerful generator. denso would have cost more than $ 300, this one cost less than a hundred.

the holset turbocharger is very good for a 4-liter engine, it is able to provide air up to 350 horsepower. it is inexpensive, common and strong. it is possible to assemble a hybrid with a compressor wheel from the hx35 and get even more power. it also has light forged wheels. this is a good turbocharger, more reliable and better than the original CT26

Stock on my car is an 80A.

You can use high output alternator and VAG electric vacuum pump

Put batteries under the hood.
So little and so powerful. View attachment 3055177View attachment 3055178

I think two batteries in a left tray is a better way.

So. It’s amazing.
I have been looking into these batteries for a while! how are they holding up with the extreme cold and hot temperatures?

I would like to see 2 battery packs in each battery tray 12 LTO cells in each. I was wondering if the boost diode will be enough for such capacity or if is charge controller would be needed

but also 12 cells in one battery tray would definitely free up some space under the bonnet!!!

Works well from -30’C to +35’C.

Why do you need so many cells? 40Ah LTO same as 90Ah regular battery.

Diode on alternator S line rise up voltage for better charging. Also you need BMS controller. The LTO section can be charged with a current of 6 capacities, can your alternator gives this?
