Great day! A little snow and ice at times but nothing we couldn’t overcome. Awesome meeting everyone!

Well it was a good run. Had a slight scare and delay from a over heating issue I had. Thought it was the thermostat but ended up being the fan belts being too loose not spinning the water pump.
I belive @afgman786 has some pics of the top radiator hose all swelled up like a top of a tuba.

Yep, and lots of ice which made for some fun uphills.

Had a blast today, fellas! Thanks for making my first ride out a great experience, can't wait to hit the trails with this crew again.

Special thanks to @afgman786 for leading and the winching-over-ice lesson 😉. Also to @1MOA for the trailside demonstration on all the possible ways to fix overheating (not to mention the hip pocket driving lessons).

Looks like a good time. Bummed I missed it but I’m still sick in bed here so glad I made the call not to drive out. Looking forward to going up there in the spring or summer.

Who’s got the LX? Are those 35s on the lx?

Thank you! Do you have an LX as well?

@afgman786 thank you for setting this up! Looking forward to future rides

I will upload other photos and videos later. If you’re on IG I am putting some up now. Username: DrivenLyfe
Nah... I've got a '08 LC. But I nearly snagged an LX and definitely envy the 35s and a 2" lift off of the factory floor. Great way to hit the trails for sure.

Damn you, Rob. It's in my head now so back at you!

I could have died happy never seeing that video, never heard of it or seen it before. I want 4 min and 6 sec of my life back!!!!!!!!!!!

I guess now I am more learned? lol!

Thanks John!

Looks like a great trip and bummed that I missed it this time. Hope to catch up with everyone soon!

Glad everyone had a good time and there were no major issues.

Cause of the ice we did not do the full ride. We went up to flagpole via union springs and then cut out after that. Switzer was all ice from what we were told by people coming from that direction and decided to play it safe.

I don't think I'd want to be anywhere near that bloated corpse of a rad hose...

Yeah, that was a quick hood lift and pic for posterity. If you look carefully you can see the loose fan clutch belt which caused the overheating condition. Unfortunately we didn't see it until after the thermostat was pulled to check for a blockage. Tightened the belt, added some water and Alexy was back on the trail.

Yep. We were all over it at first then saw the radiator hose and shut the hood and let it cool. It took about 30 mins and we put a tarp over the whole radiator and hoses and loosened the radiator cap.
We were waiting for a geiser of antifreeze and steam and we turned the cap and didn’t even get a hiss.
It ran great after that ( ran cool and almost no heat) but I will take that over head gasket or water pump going out.
I got it all back together yesterday and I’m waiting on a new hose.
On another note we did a toast at the top I’m sure Nico would
Of approved.
