I have a champion 3 core and works great. Once had the over flow hooked up, no problems. Don't know much about the NV4500 other than it's an awesome pairing, and the rear drive shaft will be short. It seems you just need the adapter to the transfer case?

Thanks for the Feedback on the Radiator i think thats what i will run, I know i will need the TCASE adapter, thats already in the plans, just sorting out some details before I place my AA order

My 350 SM465 uses a driver side slave/fork. I’m planning on using the same bell housing on the 5.3. Not positive on the NV4500, but maybe you can just get another bellhousing? Try I-Pull in IF.

No comment on the champion radiator, but I’m using a stock ‘40 radiator with a Taurus e fan. Seems good

I could be mistaken, but I think when I researched the NV4500 option, to mate up to my 1975 Gen 1 SBC it would require an adapter bell housing. So an adapter before and after the transmission. One of the reasons I disregarded that plan. I believe that a NV4500 factory bell housing will bolt straight to the 5.3...

Yep it will bolt right to it, the problem is the slave cylinder is on the passenger side so there is a clearance concern with the driveshaft. Just wondering how close it really is.

I still have my fj60 axles that is going to sale and my running boards and fenders, fender have some rust but are better than a lot I’ve seen

Been a long time since I updated. Went three link and coil overa on the front going to put coil overs on the rear as well. 16 inch travel fox 2.5s on the front. Trying to set ride height at uptravel on the coil overs anyone with an fj40 on tons and 40s care to chime with the belly heights and up travel

Alrighty so at this point my buddy stretched it about 12 inches with most the frame made of 2x4 4 linked the rear and rear coilover mounts then I brought it back home and sucked in the door entries to narrow the rear of the body and started building the rear tub out of 1x1 and I also got my Campbell hood

Then my steering column and and steering column wheel showed up and i set them in place to see how it looked and even though I was planning on switching to autometer gauges I set the original cluster back in place and realized how much better the stock gauges look.

So now I’m trying to figure out how to make the speedo work off of GPS. I have been looking at the speed hit kit but it says it only works with GM cables so I need to figure that out.
