Thanks to the crew at Slee no more plastic! These bumpers are incredibly well made.

Added air bags to help in the rear. Thanks to the crew @duggy Also spent some time with Dalon with Powerbrakes. Very impressive. Looks like another mod has been added to the list.

That came out great. I want to do this as well. What sliders are you going with?
I’m having a local fabricator bend and weld me a set. Not sure if we are going to remove the AHC cage and suv

I’m having a local fabricator make me some. It’s just your standard tube sliders with no top plates.

Put my emergency compressor to work. Got in the truck to head home from work and my TPMS light was on. One sensor said 3 PSI. Walked around and found a nail in the sidewall of the passenger rear tire. Slowly but surely got it back up to pressure, so I could get the short distance home. Have to take it to the shop in the AM.

Swapped out the stock 18’s for some 18 Black Enkei Commanders Rims. Haven’t seen any Land Cruiser with these so wanted someone different.

Tires are 285/60/18 BF Goodrich Trail Terrain

Eibach Pro Lift Kit Stage 1. 3 inch in the front, 2 inch in the back.

Ride these until Summer then will swap to my 20’s set up.

Just plan on a new tire. If they try to repair that find a new shop.

Enkeis are sweet.
Welcome to the club!

Installed some cheepo tail lights in the Kaymar bumper. Getting pretty close to having this bumper project wrapped up. License plate light and the panels that cover the hinges and I think that’ll be a wrap.

Can you confirm if the swingouts be installed without the bar? I have heard conflicting answers. I want a convenient way to carry a couple of fuel cans with having to put them on the roof.

I finished my Group 31 battery upgrade last night -- the stock battery was getting a bit iffy after 5.5 years, and I'd rather swap it out before running into a lot of trouble later.

I will say that wrestling with the inner fender liner plastic was considerably harder than I expected it to be, but it's all back in place now.

The new battery is an Interstate 31P-MHD lead acid.

Yes. Kaymar sells just the swing out kit without the bumpers.

They do/can install without the bar.

What about the latches? Without the bar I imagine you would have to connect the base plate to the factory bumper somehow?

Do the latches block the parking sensors? I think I read that somewhere.

Installed the Jowett filter housing with an oil change. Power steering flush. Noticed that the I side of the reservoir is dirty enough you can't really see the fluid level until you go above the staining. No idea how to take it apart to scrub the sides. May order a new one.

Also noticed I'm missing a bolt that holds the front splash guard that goes around the recovery points onto the front skid plate. No doubt from the last dealer oil change. Looked in toyota parts online for a while and can't find it on the diagrams for the life of me. Anyone know what it might be off hand? 2018 LC.
