I've always wondered how they hold up given that they only have two mounting arms.
There's always the LX version. It has most of the side of the frame, underneath the frame (L shape) and five arms out to the rail, then an under shield which effectively boxes it in. Stiffest FEA Metaltech has done. Downside is they're 80 lbs a side.

That'll be a hard pass at $2400+ tax/freight lol.

Had a great camping weekend with friends. Comparing and contrasting setups is a favorite pastime around the campfire.

That trailer the Raptor is pulling looks like a nice little setup…does it have AC?

Indeed a top shelf rig. Yes, the XOC has A/C. I don't think he's actually used it once, as we're mostly off-grid camping and prefer no (gas) generators.

Ventured over to Fletcher's Boathouse on the Potomac River in DC on Sunday wondering if the 6'8" lifted Cruiser would fit through the low access tunnel... it fit. Sign says the tunnel is 7' in the center, but it is lower on the sides. Best to hug the center...

This is a decent spot for catfish, striped bass, walleye and shad. There is a Tackle Shack that rents out rowboats, canoes, and kayaks - and sells bait, hooks, etc. open from 7am – 7pm daily mid-March through October. A great hidden gem.

A few adjustments still need to be made but here’s a quick parking lot snap shot post wheel/tire install. 285/75/17 KO2’s on Nomad Arvo 502’s.

love the retro-steelie style of those!

Thanks! That’s exactly the look I was going for and I am glad that it turned out like it did. I had my reservations about the wheels off the truck but it came out just like I wanted it to.

Nice. What modifications were required to fit those and avoid rubbing at full lock?

A wee bit of trimming on the front bottom edge of the bumper skin, maybe the bottom 2" and only 1/8" or so. I had already tucked and molded wheel well plastics previously. Jury is still out if I'll have to do a BMC but as of right now it looks like it's staying out of the KDSS arm. I'll have to confirm this weekend when I have someone to sit inside with the wheel going lock to lock as I watch from below.

Mine have held up well, but I haven’t really given them too much abuse. They were a nightmare to put on, nothing lined up. Only other complaint is the “powder coat” from MetalTech. It is rattle can quality and there was surface rust after 1 PNW winter. 😕

I had exactly the same experience with my MetalTech sliders and bumper. Sliders were an absolute pain in the a$$ to install and the powder coat started flaking off and rusting after just a few months in the PNW. They need lots of monitoring and touch ups.
