I have the time off
Anyone game?
I’m pretty open
Rio Puerco maybe, it’s got something for everyone.
Or possibly Gordys near socorro if the weather holds… could do @krazykat69 ’s route with anything that has at least a locker and 33’s.
Jemez if there’s snow but that could be mayhem

@Poupon mentioned a repeat of road 400 from last year on Mt Taylor. If the snow is lite we may be able to push through and come out by Cabezon.

Looking like snow up in the Jemez.

Since you are planning on either Sunday or Monday I may make it. I got to try to get time to check the caster on my junk first. Got a bit of "death wobble" going on.

Monday sounds good

Monday bueno where? Zuni's/Mt. Taylor?
I've done very little over there, no idea what road 400 would involve.

My '94 P/U appears to be operational but prefer to tow the crawler if it gets serious... that could be an issue for a push through to Cabezon.
Thoughts?
I REALLY gotta be back by 6 latest

No more wobble! Caster just now barely at the bottom end of spec, but now it doesn't steer like my '73 Ford Hiboy. I really should get new upper control arms, but they just cost money that I ain't got.

Monday? When and where?

This was 400 trail ride from last year. I’d guess we would have less snow unless Sunday brings more.

Below are forecasts from Jemez Springs and Grants. Perhaps we could assume we would have nice snow on either trail based on the forecast. So perhaps FS 400 should be the choice. I liked this area when we visited two years ago. It was wet/muddy until we started to gain elevation. I would guess it might be similar conditions this time around. So if you hate mud....well...

We could meet at the Sky City Casino Hotel right off the highway (Exit 102). Gather in one of the various parking lots after gassing up. Then head to FS400 at 10 am. What do you guys think?

Larry sounds good to me. So be there like 9:30 am Monday for a 10am departure?

Well, I don't see what's so exciting about Wheeling.
You're referring to Wheeling, West Virginia, right? I guess there's some interesting things to do there but---
Wait. Maybe I'm a bit confused here...

Who is in?
I'll be at Sky City at 9:30 monday morning. I need to be in Alb 6pm latest
The road to cabezon is pretty miserable when its wet, not sure i'm game for that and I may not have time anyway

Really wish I could make this, instead I’m picking up mother in law from ol’ Juarez. Have a good time everyone!

Yeah that would be a full day adventure if there isn't much snow. There is a way out to the west and 2nd to the east if we get pass where we stopped last year. I'd say we set either one of those as the goal and see what happens.

I finally caught that bug that everyone seems to be getting. I'm just gonna watch TV today. Sure wish I could play in the snow.
