Yesterday I started cleaning up the frame. I was using my drill with a little wire wheel on it. I'm sure @fourtrax was laughing at me 😂. Today I used a wire wheel and angle grinder. HUGE difference. The frame isn't looking too bad, but that rear axle and EVERYTHING that attaches to it might not be able to be salvaged 😥💰. I'll have to consult with others on this matter.

When discussing the rear wall and glass with @AJR we wanted to try using the LC rear glass. After the chop we put the rear glass on the LC and it was huge.

@SFROMAN suggested using the rear glass from an 83 Toyota pickup, but when calling local glass shops they couldn't be found. . But Amazon has everything.

Took a break from cleaning the frame and engine bay today. Went up to see @FJ Noob and @FMC80 with @fourtrax and @4LowandSlow in Tennessee. A few transactions were made and people left happy.

Yeah it was a good time. Stay linked in with FJ Noob. He's always coming across good deals.

Smart 🤓, dumb 🥴, or dedicated? Maybe a little bit of it all 🤔. Spent a few hrs in the pouring rain cleaning this engine bay.

Before and after

Once getting soaked outside became old I fitted the Mark's adapter on the transmission. Mark's instructions say cut the shaft 75mm.

Since I'm Murican, I had to rely on Ol' Google.

But when reading through @BlackBeauty FZJ's thread, he mentioned cutting the shaft to 3.5 inches for a wiggle room. So I rather not cut enough than too much.

Now I pull the trigger 😬

Yesterday was the rain, and today is wind. Nothing like the Colorado or Kansas wind, but it was still a bit cold out.

Did my stage 1 of cleaning the interior.

And put the t-case on the transmission 😁

Wanted to prep the metal for POR-15 today, but it was 20° outside 🥶. Instead I got it all ready to be dropped in.

Went to address some rust today because I was to POR-15 before putting the engine in.

After hitting it with the wire wheel. Gonna have to patch these bad boys.

Alright fellers, been doing a little here and there that wasn't worth taking pictures of. Put in a new (bigger) fuel pump, attached the starter, and put POR-15 in a few places.

@fourtrax walked me through some welding because I'm hella rust and I use to do arc and gas welding. So we did a few mig welds and I'm totally butt cheeks at the moment. We welded up the rear heater hole in the floor and @fourtrax made a piece for the wheel-well rust hole.

In a few weeks I'll hit it with some fiberglass and paint.

In other news. I only had one goal and a few hours to play today. I really really wanted that engine in. . .

Seems like you have things figured out, for your AC and power steering line issues check out this LS 6.0 swap 6.0 LS Build Jason's attention is amazing. His use of the Toyota/GM AC fittings is remarkable, and then the power steering unit as well. I have met @ARJMN and can help out if you have questions I am assuming.

Thanks. When I get a minute I'll look through it.

I believe I have everything for fuel, transmission, power steering, and ordered everything for AC.
