I'm definitely in no hurry, I'll post in the classifieds to see if anyone has one that is more accessible. If I don't have any luck over there I still may need yours. Thanks
I found one, hopefully it solves the issue.

Thanks

Okay cool. Got as far as getting the pulley retaining nut off. 1-13/16” or like a 43mm.

As for that cowl issue, if a “wanted” ad in the classifieds doesn’t turn anything up, you might hit Classic Cruisers and see what their price is. They have about 10 - 15 FJ55’s sitting up there doing nothing.

Here’s a link to where I got into work in the cowl area - for a different reason, but might help give more of an idea for what’s going on in there.

Sorry, I’m terrible at updating posts. I’ve been busy tearing this down and building it back up. I’m not close to done, but here is some pictures of the progress.

Yeah, #621 rustic green, it was its original color so I figured I’d keep it the same. I may change to 033 instead of 031 since I have a gallon of it, it’ll save me some cash, but not sure yet.

Like the 3 door burb, is it 4wd?
Yeah, it's a '72 3/4 ton 4x4. My daughter decided she wanted to drive that so it's in the shop getting work done on it.

Any more close ups of how you cut off the old rain gutter and fabbed new ones?

My 55 has the rust cancer in the same areas
Sorry, I only took the couple shots I posted. I ended up cutting the entire gutter piece back to the door jam. I then repaired the pillar section under the gutter piece by removing all the corroded metal and building it back like factory. Once I was done with that I spot welded the gutter section back on and cut the height after it was all welded up. From what I can tell their were two causes of that rust, one was the failed seam sealer on the gutter that allowed water to penetrate the weld flange and second was condensation buildup on the inside that ran down the inside gutter and down the A pillar. New seam sealer is an easy fix for the outside, but the inside will take a little more thought on how to prevent and treat that area.

I went with perforated headline to avoid condensation on inside of roof. Also POR15 s*** out of that area.

I was thinking treating the areas with GEM, then 3M cavity wax. I think that should do it. I want to use something that flows like water so it'll get into all the areas that I can't with a thicker product. I also need to find a pressurized tank with a long reach nozzle to get where I want it. The cavity wax has a 3 foot semi rigid tube that gets almost anywhere.
