He could try the @PabloCruise Long Hose Solution (patent pending)...Out of curiosity, what's the plan for the hose replacement?
The only adjustment is the toothed strike that can move only little bit. Unless you oval the holes. It’s a captured nut inside the body that has the ability to slide a certain amount. I ovaled the holes of the body metal on the outside. Once you slide the capture nut where you need it you may have to oval the hole on the inner capture bracket. Tailgate glass has to align with with the weather strip channel. So there is not a hole lot of adjustment available. Some of the aftermaket weather trip all vary a bit so it a bit of fussing around. the tailgate on my 71 fits a bit different then my 77, both stock to the bodies. How does the tailgate close, nice and tight?
Some “backyard engineering” solved the seat angle in my first Pig and for the Frankencruiser pre-F150 captain’s chairs. Amazing how a few washers around the rear bolts between seat frame and mount magnify the angle change at the top of the seat back. NHTSA might not approve but my back and neck sure did.I'll be watching the seat mods.
Your floor mounts look like the ones in my '74.
I don't mind the height of my Pig seat, but I do mind the angle of the seat back - too laid back. If I could adjust the seat back, I would crank it forward and leave the seat bottom at the same angle.
Since that would require surgery to the frame, maybe some custom floor mounts could help my angle.
I will cheer you on from the sidelines!
Interested in the shortened gas pedal.
Happen to have pic to share for that?
