Does anyone see any issues or red flags with this one? Checks a lot of boxes for me, but eBay and a used car lot give me major pause.

Brass tagged ‘66. However with the diagonal angled fresh air intake and lower windshield vent I think it’s probably a ‘65 production and sold (aka brass tagged) in ‘66? Hopefully the experts will jump in and correct me if I’m wrong. Nothing jumps out at me initially as a red flag other than the brake pad cover (?) mounted on the firewall below the clutch cylinder? Which then makes me want to see it in person and look it over before spending that kind of money.

The asset/liability markets are starting to soften from ‘20/‘21 highs. So it’ll be interesting to see what this sells for. If it meets the reserve.

Maybe see if any 45 members are around Gainesville, GA and can look it over for you. As you know bondo and paint can hide a lot. Compression test and drive around property to hear any drivetrain issues at a minimum. I’d want to see under the floor mats. Maybe the owner (dealer) would be willing to post a YouTube video of compression, driving, gauges, etc? Again why they didn’t I have to wonder especially when this is your business (even if it’s a hobby business)??? Aren’t you trying to maximize your ROI? The pics at someone’s personal property is interesting as well for a “dealer”.

Or if you’re serious… budget into your bid a flight in, rental car and hotel or drive down from PA to see it yourself before the close of the auction. I do realize it’s the holidays and there’s only 3 days left on the auction.

I wonder if the reserve is actually reasonable??? Or if it’s a pie in the sky?

wrong engine and an interesting place for a brake pedal pad.
hard to tell if it will stop, can't see a level in the brake resevoir

@Yellow Jacket this looks like a real nice 45 to me. Might be a great opportunity if the reserve isn’t crazy. You can anticipate there will be issues to work out when buying a ‘65, but looks like a great starting point with all the essentials being present. I’ll be following the auction with interest.
