Great photos and looks like your camping set up is working out great.

I'll be up that way towards the end of September for a month long work project, and hoping to spend a few days in the Anchorage area when the project ends. I really would like to drive up that way one day.

We had a break from the rain, so I gave the Ute it’s bi-annual bath didn’t get as many pinstripes as I thought I would got a little bit to try and clean up. she cleans up pretty good.

They have started to use some kind of de-ice fluid in the past few years. Used to only use sand so not many rusty vehicles. I only run the Ute now in the winter when the roads are dry to minimize exposure

Man, epic trip. Very cool that this is all "in your backyard" so to speak.

A few questions:
1. How bad are the mosquitos?
2. Did you try some blueberries?

Rain keeps the mosquitoes and other biting bugs down.
Interesting how the blueberries can taste different depending on location

Getting parts together for a rear axle rebuild. Bearings not in the picture but have them. This is for mostly one side.

Got some parts put together in preparation for the rear axle rebuild, probably the week of thanksgiving.

Got most of the left rear axle done. Maybe back to it tomorrow, Friday for sure.

Bought a set of the adjuster “nut” from down under to replace the factory type, it gives you almost micro adjustability.

Right side doesn’t look like it has been worked on in a while. Axle tube seal was leaking, bearings running in diff fluid instead of grease.

Forgot, or were not available, this spring clip and pin for attaching the parking brake cables. Have to make it work

Done, I think. Still have to bleed the brakes and set the parking brakes before a test drive
