Top was pretty nasty. I’m happy with how it went. At least it should be protected now from getting worse in its new garaged southern home

CLR?…as in calcium lime rust cleaner? Explain pleeeease.

I have a thread about it in the 40 section called Preserving Patina.

Basically all the white scale and rough stuff you take it off with a blue scotchbrite and CLR before you polish it.

Along with the bumper ends came new hood bumpers all around.

I’ve never even noticed these bumpers before. Need to order some for Blue

Then another first for me. Inclinometer. Found a harness diagram on Mud and got it spliced into the truck and all installed.

Finished up my punch list. All I’m waiting on now is the battery cables to hook it up and fire it up.

Last items were to wire the signal and tach wires for the sniper and install the throttle cable.

Lokar cable provided by Mosley but this little tab is from Lowe’s. For the 60 it’s super easy to add this tab to the hand throttle location and drill one hole in the firewall.

Loop the cable far away from the exhaust. They don’t like heat. Measure twice. Cut once.

Lastly, added the spare and some rear mud flaps.

I was looking at diagram last week to order a missing front hood bumper and was equally surprised about the 4 rear one. Waiting on mine to come in. For anyone else wondering, this was part for my 62:

It’s getting parked until I get caught up. I’ll take aim at it soon. It’s pretty amazing.

What year? Warn winch bumper and 8274, don't see that very often.
1987. Yeah, have the receipt for the “wench” and such in the stack of stuff

Man, the good ones have a way of finding you.
