Busy with the frame. Sandblasted, chemical stripped out all the overlaps, pulled it straight, repaired a crack, zinc phosphorous coated. Planning to start painting next weekend. There was a 3/4” diamond rail to rail so it didn’t really need to be pulled straight but I’m this far so why not. The crack repair isn’t beautiful but it’s drilled out and I’m confident my weld is solid. it will be like it never happened once I paint. The zinc coating gives it a dull texture that will bind to the epoxy primer.

Wh
Where did it crack?

I would agree with Roger that they need to mature before they are restoration quality. If you bought this now I would anticipate needing to spend a decent amount of time fixing issues.

As for pictures, here are the only ones I didn’t upload so far.

Seams kind of sloppy.

The gutter seam sealer that is.

If that's the effort the put into a SEMA show piece. Imagine what a customer will get.

Not surprised for $10k. Try building this in its entirety for $10k. Looks good for the most part. Been following them on FB. Sheet metal thickness would be good to know.

What's with the dash configuration? Doesn't look stock.

This weekend I rolled it!... The Odometer that is. These pictures make me want to move the cluster refurb up on my to-do list:

Fighting some electrical gremlins and haven’t dug too far into this part yet. I did disconnect and clean all connections on turn signals and put new bulbs in, both the same. Any ideas why one side is much brighter than the other? Bad ground?

It could be the turn and park light wires are crossed. Or bulb installed backwards? Is it the same in the rear? When you apply the turn signal is it brighter or dimmer?

I am still trying to disgnose the rear. I have no reverse light and no running lights. I do have dim turn signals but no brake lights. Hopefully will be tracing wires this weekend and get into it more. Turn signals up front blink like they should but brightness stays as depicted.

A lot of the early light housings are grounded by the bolts the hold the housing to the frame or body. On my 75, I added ground wires to my rear housings with rivets or screws and grounded them to the frame or ground wires.
