Backstory -

When I moved to Las Vegas 10 years ago, my next door neighbor had this 55 in his garage. I'd always ask him about it, and if he'd ever want to sell. He bought it from his uncle, who bought it brand new in 1977 in California. He wasn't interested in selling since it was in his family for so long.

After we moved out of that neighborhood, I'd still drive by from time to time, and eventually I stopped seeing the owner out in the garage like he so often was. I ended up speaking to his wife, and her husband had unfortunately passed away. She did say she'd call me if she ever wanted to sell the 55.

Around 2020, she actually called and said she was ready to sell. Apparently after she decided she'd sell to me, the grandson became interested in it and wanted to fix it up. So, off it went to his house after being in that same garage for 20 years.

Fast forward again, and I get another call from the lady. The grandson never touched it. He didn't have the means, tools, or knowledge to fix it. She wanted me to purchase it from her and get it running again, which is what I did.

Since I've taken ownership of it -
Rebuild carb
New battery
Bleed brakes
Fixed some poor wiring
Drained fuel tank
New fuel filters
Replaced rear glass

As of right now, it starts, runs, drives, and stops wonderfully. Everything is tight. In my viewpoint, its really optional on where to take it at this point. Leave it as-is for a fun wheeler, resto-mod, or restore. The PO had it primered as he was getting ready to paint it before he passed. It was originally blue/white.

Things that could/should be addressed sooner than later -
Paint
Needs new headliner
Missing OEM ignition switch, so I use a toggle and push button to start it. Works well, but not secure.
Rear window needs to be mounted. I have it, but its not in the vehicle. Also, the rear window motor is missing, but the regulator is there.

It has minimal rust. I've tried to detail it in the pictures. Frame is straight. Clean NV title in my name. It is currently registered and insured.

$12,000 picked up or shipped out of Las Vegas, NV. Will consider delivering to UT, AZ, or SO CAL for a fee.

Love it, looks like a nice survivor! Wish I had space for it, these are pretty rare like this.
