You only need two of the small bolts (on the exhaust manifold "horns". This came from a spreadsheet where I bought some extras for certain items.

you are the best! thank you. Is there an advantage to replace the studs with bolts?
 
Not that I’ve found. The manifold assembly is pretty heavy, and it’s nice to be able to hang them on the studs during install. The alternative is balancing them with one hand while trying to get a bolt started. Maybe I’m missing something…
 
So after removing the EGR and having the Dizzy adjusted to work without the ear. How close am I to a full desmog? Can't be much left
