SILVER Star
Hello everyone,
We're going to basecamp at Horsethief campground and ride the local MTB trails. The plan is to depart Abq, thur after work and head to the campground. Let's meet up at the campground 10am on Friday, 10/21/22 to figure out where we want to ride. This cg mostly caters to MTB riders so we didn't see bunch of glampers the last time we went. Here's the link to the CG:

There are several single track trails to choose from in this area:

All levels of riders are welcome on this trip. Beginners riders will be able to hone their skills while more advanced riders can go crazy!
Last time we didn't get to the Navajo Rocks loop so we'd like to ride it this time. Another "want to" ride is the Whole Enchilada trail on Monday if we can swing it. It's mostly downhil and it's really long! We'll need to arrange a shuttle company to drop us off at the top and there are several companies who offer this service.

Please be competely self sufficient but Moab is about 25 min away for food/shopping/entertainment/supplies if you need something. This outdoor store allows you to fill your jerry cans for free: https://www.moabgear.com/
Another awesome riding venue is Dead Hose state park, about 20 min away, toward Canyonland National Park Island in the sky visitor center. There's an entry fee to the state park as well as Canyonlands. We rode two trails in Dead Horse state park last time.

The group can decide whatever and we can split up as we feel like. There are no agendas here, just camp and ride.
Look for this setup at one of the camp sites Friday morning! Bring firewood if you want fires.
