So this is officially a porn thread now? Anyone have some 80/90 I can use?
It's a porn thread until the deployment is over, then it's back to the 62.

The wife who decided to visit me in Qatar booked us a day of sand duning in a 100 series. It was a 5-speed gas v6 and pretty much stock but handled everything the driver threw at it. No, he didn't let me drive, be we did make it to the Saudi border and back to the inland sea. No winch, no maxtrax nothing but skills.

We had the entire camp to ourselves. I must admit, especially the first 10 minutes, I have a pucker factor of 12. The pics don't do the hills justice and we were off camber most of the time climbing up and rolling down.

Tech note, the manual transmission is better at long hauls in the desert because it won't overheat and shut down the car. This actually happened to our convoy last year while going to PINS.

Does anyone have any experience or seen a thread about electric AC in a 6x series?

Looking at this for big red and reusing the hardware that's already in it. Need to reroute the ac lines away from the turbos.
This should work in theory, right?

Nothing good is cheap. Plus it means I can mount this anywhere. It comes out to roughly 1k US.

Just get a roof mounted RV system and hide it with a roof rack.

Not sure what capacity alternator you have but you may need a bigger one. Specs say 100amp minimum. Full load uses 65amp, so sitting at a stop light and idling in TX may draw more than your alternator puts out at low speed. Dual batteries would help. Curious to see how this works for you.

I have a 200 Amp alternator, dual batteries and a solar panel. I should be good on power.
I'm installing an electric ac on my 911. If I'm happy with that result I'll start on big red. It'll be a few more months though, I'm still deployed.
