What Am I doing wrong!

Dome light works great…. I introduce an under dash light…. Wired inline…. The under dash light comes on…dome light goes out. Individually they both work. Connected only under dash light comes on.

Never mind I figured it out

Did have something to do with the dome light switching ground not the positive side?

Yep I had both lights sharing one ground.
When I gave each light it’s own ground with shared power, they both magically illuminated
