Instrument Cluster Renovation (1 Viewer)

New here, so be gentle. I just finished an instrument cluster refresh for my '68 FJ40 and wanted to share the final product here. Various YouTube videos were helpful in giving me the confidence to crack it open.

Here 'tis all disassembled.

I'm going to say it looks like you started with a very clean example for the age.

removed the individual gauges.

 

[illinikev]

cleaned the housing, removed bulb surrounds, and repainted with bright white. Also cleaned the individual gauges and touched up faces including fresh orange fluorescent needles.

prepped and repainted the bezel with the Cruiser Corps' Pewter. Also touched up some scratches on the speedometer with matte black.

reinstalling the gauges.

polished high beam lens and reinserted into the bezel. Original reason for digging into this was that the speedometer was crooked and I feared broken, so reinstalled it squarely.
