Always something especially w/ these New England trucks….
Broken clamps… failed to put the vice grips higher up and lost 2 gallons of decent coolant. Oh well… better here on purpose in the driveway then halfway up to NH for the Fall Gathering.
Still a bit irritating.
As an aside… my bees are fing insane. 9 hives going strong. Leather gloves on days like this!

Is it normal for bees to be that active this time of year?

Yes and extra pissy due to lack of resources and water. It was HOT here today. 85! I was sweating all day. Friday AM it was 41 when I was driving into work. NE is all over the board. This is also the time of year that makes me realize how crazy I actually am.

@Spike Strip this is the difference in bee temperament when they are loaded w/ resources.

Hey Napa thanks for having an aftermarket hose that will work.
And the kid says… made in china but they actually did great. He’s been at it now for nearly 3 hours.

Be careful with that 90* aftermarket hose for the rear heater - the bend is tighter than it looks for the rear heater pipes to the heater and if you cut those hoses too short or leave too long, you'll get a kink at the bend.

Axe me how I know.

Fit it on first and see how it looks?

Well finally got two hoses that are nearly identical at Napa. The Gates 18453 from O’reilly were crap. Two different lengths. Crazy pants. Apparently the places these guys are getting things are pretty deficient.
Walked into Napa today and asked if I could go eye what they had in stock. Found two 10453.
Flushed the outer hard line just to be sure it was clear, it was. Inner is because truck already dumped a gallon out when I’d pulled the junk hose on that side.
Pulled the heater and tried the same w/ the hose and the flow is slow on both.
Blew into both ends and easily can pass air through. I’ll hook it back up and cross my fingers. Casey, @POTATO LAUNCHER, is a great guy who puts up w/ my questions and absurdity.
Swapped the seat hardware while I was at it so the lever for sliding the seat is inside again like it should. I will say those brackets are specifically right and left and it took a smidge of persuading to get the bolts in the rear outer quarter. Typically that sliding bracket would be on the Right side of the left seat. It’s got a rivet sorta thing that holds it in place. I don’t “think” I could have swapped it further…. I’ll eye it more tomorrow in the daylight.

Determined the rear heater fan motor is dead. Wired it to the battery and get nothing.
Added the heater simply as a loop and installed the hoses. Yeah yeah… I should have just eliminated it, oh well, hindsight and all. Brought to temp w/ the front up and radiator open until it was hot, found no leaks and closed it up. Drive around the lake and no weird temp spikes.
Trimmed my u-bolts and finally…. Yup, torqued them.

Finally started installing the Koito headlight kit. Good thing someone suggested a wiring diagram…. Found it under everything in the box. Haha. Had to pull out the dremel to persuade a couple of the little screws from their rusty grip on the little shiny silver circle that goes over the edge of the bulbs. Thankfully I’ve learned a thing or two and got both out w/o messing up the tiny threads at all.
So many weird wires along my driver fender and under my fuse box. I wish electrical didn’t overwhelm me so much. By the time I get over it the body will have rotted off the truck. It’s such a mess. Oh well… trying to her ready to get up to NH again so my kid and I can have some fun.

Forgot… I had to replace two of my u-bolts a few weeks ago. Kid and I were checking the diff fluid and he pointed out the rear driver. One was bent pretty bad above the nut. Ordered a couple from @cruiseroutfit and my kid and I got to it.
Not the easiest high stress task to do w/ a constant chatter mouth 9yo but thanks to my go to guys for guidance we managed it safely.
After we drove over to the church to resettle the leaf pack by driving over their curbs a bunch of times.

That ubolt nearly snapped. I'm not sure if that rear heater does much good but I haven't ridden in the back seat with frozen toes either.

Highlights, tow hook (received from @60Works last Oct), rear hitch was a $10 score from Pachaug Picker out in Preston, CT.

Maybe the heater motor just needs new brushes.

Hood liner installed. Ace had some panel clips that fit perfect same size circle black color. Need just a few more.
Getting a couple rear speaker mounts from @60Works installed. Happened to have some cargo panels, same color from @remy1974, one w/ a hole already cut and a spare driver side one I can cut. Couple Pioneer speakers free from a local non cruiser guy will fit right in. Showed kid how to test them of the existing wire from the big box speakers. We were able to determine the female clip for the front speaker is bad… once all said and done will have 4 way sound.
