I'm perplexed why CR didn't go with a 6" width, as 5.5" limits modern tire installation in a lot of cases. For the recommended tire size, BFG, for example, states minimum rim width is 6"... in which case a place like Discount Tire will flat out refuse to mount them on a 5.5" wide rim.

Are you wanting to avoid a 15" wheel? A set of 4 of these in 15" from Toyota is only $600 shipped with caps.
