My rig has developed a gradual crack in the normal spot, so I started searching for bracket kits.

This is what I found & most likely not every kit available, just got on the web found this info:

I only found one Made in the USA so I went with Delta VS kit.

Delta Vehicle Systems - DeltaVS Frame Supports - Weld It Yourself Kit - PREORDER - https://www.deltavs.com/all-products/deltavs-frame-supports-weld-it-yourself-kit

The rest of the kits are from AUS, some have more brackets to address the front panhard cracking on the frame.

Here are some threads discussing the how to do the repair, plus a talking about not welding a vertical weld on the frame.

My 80 frame is not cracked, but I'm thinking of installing the Delta VS kit preventatively. It seems better to strengthen the known weak points and not get cracks in the first place. @GW Nugget and @motormayhem how did your installs go?

Fatigue cracks are a “when” not an “if”. The practical and reasonable solution is to look for cracks once in a while and fix them when they happen. The 80 frame design at the steering box is damn good compared to a lot of other vehicles. I inspected my frame for cracks around the steering box yesterday and it looks great!

My install went well. Ended up getting a right angle die-grinder to do the stripping on the engine side and found a crack there in addition to the ones on the pan hard mount. I ended up designing my own plates up as I wanted something that was a bit different than the gen 1 Delta VS design. It actually looks like their current design is closer to what I made. I did a few weld passes to fill in the pan hard to frame rail transition under the steering box where it cracked effectively gusseting it and removing the stress concertation there. It looks like the Delta kit now has a plate that welds into that area to do the same.
