I am running a desmogged 2f in my '76 FJ40. Where am I supposed to connect the PCV hose? What I have been able to find is that it connects to the manifold, but the connection has been sealed by the PO. Should I be connecting here?

PCV = Positive Crankcase Ventilation
Old motors used to just vent to the atmosphere. Then came PCV valves and were connected to the air cleaner or other intake system to try and burn the fumes.
Where you choose to connect or not connect is up to you. You just don't want the crankcase to become a pressure vessel.

That is the port that connects to PCV. It is threaded, use a wrench to remove and uncrimp the crimped port(s). If you can't, find someone selling just the fitting if you want it perfectly oem or find a 90* fitting that is 3/8-19 BSPT (if I remember correctly).
