Well seat frames and seats are all upholstered and in storage. Only issue is the Olympus white we chose still a little creamy appearing for the wife and I. Anyone have some suggestions for something white other than Cygnus?

Have you looked at the white paint up against the bottom color to see if it settles down?

There are actually two versions of Cygnus White, 012 and 031. One is creamy and one closer to a pure white. Can’t recall which is which.

Yeah I think we’re leaning now towards the 031 now.

In order of creamy to least creamy for typical Toyota colors:
Olympus White T1453 = most creamy
Cygnus White T12
White 031
White 033 = least creamy

Note: I was against creamy when I painted my 1969. I had all the above sprayed on test metal cards with my chosen Toyota Silver Gray T450. None of the more white colors looked right so I ended up with the most creamy Olympus White with the T450. It just looked the best. Spray them all out before you spend the big $$ on final paint.

I would like to add electric PS eventually and I am curious about the compatibility of swapping the old steering shaft for a 74+ shaft? This to remove the shifting linkage and to allow the PS setup. Can anyone shed some light on any issues I might encounter with this?
On my 1969 I really wanted to keep the original one year only steering wheel but I also wanted power steering. I put in a FJ60 power steering, FJ60 front steering assembly and tie rods, then a custom steering linkage using components from Flaming River that I got off Summit Racing. I did this because I didn’t like the idea of welding two FJ55 steering rods together like I had seen others do. I did a build thread of sorts on Instagram => dtc227

Long time since last post but the sow supposedly close to being painted now that body work done (so I’m told). All interior carpet, seats are finished.

Haven’t even had a place to put her since moving to Oklahoma but new shop finally shelled in. I’m still pulling wire but have lights which is huge! The shop is going to be a project for awhile, hopefully not as long as the Pig.

Picking up the Sows 77 40 axles later this week here in Tulsa off another mudder for the disc swap. Keeping drums on rear but will rebuild that also while waiting on my pig. Think I have everything to rebuild the axles in various places but if not cruiser outfitters will get more of my money, or what I have left at this point.

Think I’m close enough to take tools out of the storage units and the shipping container here on the farm. This move from Colorado has been eye opener to say the least, I’ve got cruiser crap strung out all over the county.

No pig or axle pics yet but some shop porn! Gonna put lift where the old Ford is.

Shop needs some fine tuning on the outside. Gonna due some dirt work this week and get some gravel delivered to put around the front concrete. There is 5" rise currently from the ground to top of concrete and I don't want to drive anything up on it until that's done. Also need to secure the soil around the shop and put bermuda down so it doesn't wash out and destablize what's there. We just had nice ice storm hit and the lift is on a trailer attached to my truck in front of trailer right now, too slick to return to Tulsa this morning. I'm spending all funds I have left towards mom and dads house a couple hundred yards away. As soon as possible I hope to spray foam the roof then start working on the walls. As long as things are semi mobile in the shop I figure I can start working again on my cruisers.

Gawd dayum! Shop my ass!
Has the look of a barndominium to me!

I'll try to get out to Mike's and get you some pictures later this week. Headed to Denver again tomorrow morning but should be back late Wednesday.

Thanks Jim appreciate that, hope Denver goes well!

Ya know the saying "go big or go home" Well I ain't going home!'

The upstairs is going to be my office now that I can work some from home. We will have to live in it while our house gets built this summer. Until the property in Colorado sell's we are living in the 41 year old single wide that has been in same spot since 1981. My office may serve as our apartment but we have access to old 5th wheel and I put 50 amp plug in the back and I bet we sleep and shower in that.

Waiting on bid for spray foam to the ceiling, it may have to wait some but weather will be nice in a month here so no big loss.

Once I get my pig home it would be fun to have PIG gathering here at farm with some BBQ. Pig pens can be little noisy but with no neighbors for a mile there is no one to offend.
