@Skreddy would you mind sharing where you got the large volume fuel filter and mount bracket at? I've haven't seen that style before with the AN adapters on either end.

The filter and mount was from Tanks, Inc. The adapters from the quick connect to AN are russel brand and we’re also bought through Tanks, Inc.

Been chugging along on the 4 speed conversion. At this point, drivelines are off getting modified, been making the new tunnel to fit and just waiting on a couple things to finish up. One of those things is cleaning rebuilding the transfer case. Everything worked just fine and no odd noises just a couple leaks and caked on crud. Pulled it apart today and fount the fro t output shaft bearing was void of any rollers. Same thing I found when I pulled apart the t-case for the olive 79 I’m working on. Nothing inside looks damaged so those rollers must’ve ground themselves into powder somewhere. New bearing ordered and already waiting on some seals anyway.

I was pleasantly surprised today. Last time I ordered one of these bearings back in April they were back ordered. I was told they weren’t discontinued but no estimate of return to stock; I had a difficult time finding one. Well my local Toyota didn’t cancel my order from April just in case so they actually had the bearing in stock for me today!
So there are supposed to be rollers in there….

Got my transfer case castings all cleaned up today. Not spotless but much cleaner than they were. Ready to start rebuild in the next few days and mate up to the 4 speed and get it into its new home!

Very Nice work 👍

Transfer case is back together and mated to the 4 speed. Working 8 12 hour nights in a row this week so trying to fit time in on this when I can.

I’ve now got an EFI, column shifted 4 speed FJ40! Only 10 miles or so on it but the 4 speed is fantastic and keeping the column shifter is just so cool. Need to finish making the trans tunnel and a few tweaks but I can’t wait to start racking the miles up!

Very Nice 🥃 🥃

Heck yes! Thanks for being the guinea pig @Skreddy

Drove it a bit after work today running errands. The 4 speed is awesome and shifting 4 gears on the column is just so cool for this cruiser nerd. Definitely need to get on that tunnel cover because it’s hot! But damn I feel cool driving so hot!

No cruiser work this week. Chillaxing on Flathead Lake.

Great pic! Your dog apparently loves boat rides.
Yes, the dog loves the boat. Loves playing in the water but won’t swim so that’s weird.

Back to real life and had a package waiting from @shipmag
My 4 speed is official!

Started taking the top off today for the first time in who knows how long. Need to wait for a helping hand so only got it lifted far enough to fold down the windshield and remove the doors. I have one of the plastic dash covers to go on so excited for that. Between the dash and windshield is nasty!

Top and doors off for the first time since I’ve owned it. Also the dogs first ride in it. Took the kids to the family lake cabin to cool off.
