Found this (one owner) truck in the city, originally from CA and brought to the city 6 years ago.
In need of some work (like any other 25+ year old vehicle), owner agreed to sell as he was tired of spending $ on her.
First time doing a car purchase without meeting the owner. Everything went smooth and he let me drive it with his plates and reg to
Long Island.
I am going over entire truck as it will be my wife's DD in stock form.
I will update this thread as I perform work on this baby.

Very nice!
Not too sure if you hear the 12 nozzle injector upgrade. I am currently using on my 80 and it runs smoother and little more torque.
Thanks rich. No never heard of that, i did heard about the late 2000’s 80 coil packs. Is it the same injectors for those trucks ?

Here's the ones I upgraded to and I noticed the difference in acceleration but I am running a K&N drop in filter and a Borla exhaust.

Thanks Rich.
How good or bad was the old stock engine harness when you removed the stock injectors and swapped into this ? Are these denso like they advertise? Price doesn’t seem bad ?

When I done the valve cover gasket I ended up replacing alot of the wiring harness connectors but the Injector connectors were fine. So the kit will come with connectors that will adapt the old connector to new connector on the 12 hole Injector. Yes they are denso injectors and you can contact the seller and they do respond to any of your questions.

Looking very nice. I like where this is going.

Thank you ! We are all exited here at home.
Lots more to come.

Dean, @TheCarMaster40 suggested I buy these JBL 4” for the rear doors

They really improved the sound on the car, however they didn’t fit well retaining the stock covers. Wasn’t going to return them so Did some minor trimming.
- magnet is as big as the door sheet metal bore, it barely fits but I de used to take 1/8 with a drummer.
- plastic black cup holder needs the entire backing out, same operation with stemmed.
- took the OEM connectors and soldered for easy door repairs if any
- cover grill needed the screen out in order to cut the triangular brace screen support,
- out of the 4 speaker tabs, one needs to be cut. Installed a provided cushion in between speaker and black plastic cup holder, drilled trough and inserted tiny little screws along with some sealant so they don’t come off but easy to remove.

Fits perfectly after this, here are some pics I took when I did the work.

I’m definitely following this.

@dr_dobro What did you use to paint the calipers? I have used VHT caliper paint, but it doesn't last.
Those are old nos centric oem re manufactured calipers and rotors, so they came galvanised.
As for paint, Best if you sand down the calipers bodies down to smooth surface. The casting scaling is the biggest issue for east coast on/off the road.

Interior is pretty much done, except rear carpet, third row seats and steering wheel cover.
Front axle is installed with new OME 861 and KYB shocks. Dean is going to pull the rear out while I do the final touches in front. More to come soon
