Hows grandpa handling riding in the pig?
He only did one day! He keeps calling it “Dead Bear” pass! He drove the Tundra around, partook in CO medicine, chatted up ladies at the coffee shop, and took the boys swimming.

Me and the boys had a blast though. It was about 1/2 a day trials and 1/2 a day swimming, fishing, looking at houses we won’t buy, cooking steaks, next day prep.

Great Sand dunes at night pic. Incredible drive through CO even on pavement

Very special thanks to the guys at Off Road Solutions in Montrose, CO that 1) built the wiring harness for the Pig 2) helped us with a logistics issue and met us twice after hours to make sure we were taken care of.

Currently running a last min magnetic trailer light kit and a 7 prong for brakes 😄

Any updates on the pig ?

Any updates on the pig ?

We’re home! Drove it to work this week a few days. AC is amazing!

The trip was incredible and looking for land in CO is my new hobby.

I’m really really glad I took it and not the Tundra. 97% of what we did was able to be done by a 100 on 33”s with some driving skill, but in the Pig, I have no skill and it still did amazing. The dual cases were great coming down the passes for miles. The FJ80 with me had over heating brake issues coming down and also couldn’t keep up speed going up over the passes with his stock I6 motor.

We rode 5-6 hours a day off road for 5 days and never got the tool box out. Only used my pocket knife to patch the 50 year old radiator cap. The 200 miles on the HY was fine. It was storming like hell and leaks some water on me and it’s loud, but it drives great and it pretty comfortable with the electric seats with lumbar support and arm rests.

The reactions to it in town were funny. A guy driving a full tour Jeep stopped me on the trail and asked 100 questions while his passengers stared and didn’t understand a word of 4x4 talk for 5 mins. I had 3-4 people send me pics of it that their buddy’s had taken and sent to them… then them to me 😆

I know there are cleaner rigs, prettier rigs, and better built rigs all in the 55 section, but this one is a great fit for me and I love driving it.

More pics from the 100 guys. They had a great group and real cameras with them.

Another pic of the one huge mudslide on Imogene. Those guys trucks and trailers almost washed away. They were at first talking about sending us back up and over the Mtn into Telluride, the rental SXS folks were NOT ready for that. One person said screw it and went through and then it was on.

Guess what this fully built sex machine 100 weighs…..

Anyone ever weigh their Pig?
Well over 7000 pounds. I once had to pull Ethan out of a river crossing at Toquerville Falls as he got stuck on some hidden boulders. It was good to have you and your pig join our 100 group. Made me wish I had my pig there!
