Hoping I can meet the group in Weaverville near I26 and US25 interchange if at all possible. There is an Ingles there so I can stop ahead of time and pick up any last minute items needed. I'll be bringing 2 handheld GMRS radios. Not sure what the plan is for comms.

Thought I might cross paths with you guys. Did weavers Thursday, helipad Friday and sitting on the AT now at top of rice creek. Evidently the road does not go through like the Delorme says.
Was getting a good feeling about FR 358 and then round a bend and all but faded into a tight footpath :/

Successful trip. Good people good food good drinks. Weavers bend was great but it had a bunch of trash. The trail to wolf creek fall was closed so we drove Martha sundquist. We did hurricane creek on our way back and was a lot of fun.

We had a blast! Big thanks to @Roxx for leading us around.
There was a great group of mudders on this trip and you all made us feel welcome.
I doubt I will do Hurricane Creek again unless I do some major upgrades but the 100 got us through and I will certainly be exploring camping in the area in the future.

That looks an awful lot like the stream on HC that I caught a trout in once when we stopped for a break after turning in from I40. Is it @Roxx ?
