This is us next week. Out of curiosity, are you driving in 4low all the time or just for the more gnarly stuff? Enjoy!
4lo on most of the whole way up/down, loose rock mode worked best. This is us next week. Out of curiosity, are you driving in 4low all the time or just for the more gnarly stuff? Enjoy!
Gotcha. Tks!4lo on most of the whole way up/down, loose rock mode worked best.
looks killer! This might be my next setup. Would like to hear about the details of the MRR and how it rides compared to stock. I imagine it’s a firmer ride but would like to know how it handles on the freeway hitting bumps and the local speed bumps at low speed. Also, what are your current settings front and back on Rebound/compression. What springs did you go with? How do you like the tires?Ecstatic with the results! I've been waiting for years to need to get new tires to install new gear on my 2018 LC.
Method 705s in Titanium, 35mm offset, 5x150 bolt pattern
Toyo Open Country AT3 in 285/75/17, E-rated
Dobinsons 2.5" MRR lift w/remote reservoirs, Dobinsons UCAs, diff drop, rear panhard bar upgrade
Trimming in both front wheel wells to eliminate rubbing.

Where did you find this picture? Looks like a 100 from the A pillar back.

Curious why you added a diff drop? Unlike 100-series, they aren't super popular with 200-series.
Previously, it was on 275/70/18 with stock suspension and tundra spacers up front. It never aligned well, and drives more straight now, likely due in large part to the aftermarket UCAs allowing for lots of adjustment to make it right. Short answer--it rides better than stock. I also went to a 17" wheel with and more rubber, which probably doesn't hurt. Acceleration is unchanged. Average mileage is TBD until I get more miles with it. My guy installed it in "comfort" setting, but I need to get with him to see what number in the dial it's set at to have a reference point. I did the heaver 250lb springs up front in anticipation of a future bumper, and it does not ride bad at all. I did a progressive rear with no extra weight, but would change if I went with a rear bumper.
What I need to figure out is if a 285/75/17 will fit in the factory spare spot, even only if aired down. If not, the timeline for a rear bumper may accelerate.
I half-assed a lift on a 4Runner in the past and didn't get UCAs, etc. As the 200 is a significantly larger investment, I was okay spending the money when the guys at Dobinsons recommended to have it, even if just in case. Buy once, cry once, and get it right the first time. I'm so happy with the outcome, I don't care if I got swindled out of a few hundred dollars
