2H with high oil pressure (1 Viewer)

Installing the extended valve took me half an hour. A shortened 22mm wrench gets the cover screw off, and a rag stuffed up there and running the engine for a few seconds got the old valve out. About three tablespoons of oil also came out as well, so be prepared for that.

The problem came to my attention after installing a mechanical oil pressure gauge. With the stock valve it would shoot up to around 120 PSI cold (My mechanical gauge does not have marks past 100), but settled down to a normal 40 PSI on the highway hot. Now cold it doesn't go past 80 PSI. Perfect! There also used to be a hint of oil smelling bluish smoke in the exhaust until it would settle down to below 80 PSI, and with the longer valve my nose and eyes did not detect any oil smoke for this cold start. More testing is needed, but hopefully this mod results in healthier startups moving forward.

Thanks, everyone!
