1983 US Model FJ40 Landcruiser Land Cruiser. CO truck. Rare in that is a 1983 but also because it is a late year model with a good body that hasn't been tinkered with, this is a honest Cruiser. Have stack of receipts for mechanical work / maintenance performed by a local Toyota Master Mechanic. Passed emissions last Thursday. Have extensive photos depicting vehicle condition. Will include 2 sets of OEM wheels (sand blasted / powder coated) / set of OEM wheel centers and tool kit, have some other things for it too. Thanks- Tree Zer0 Tree Five 4 Nine Tree One 9 8.

I respect the transparency with known trouble spots and appears to have intentionally grinded away the filler to show all his cards or at least most.🤤drool.

For all the seasoned FJ owners, potential new FJ owner here looking for guidance.

From some of the photos, it looks like there is some holes in the body panels. Is this a big deal for these types of truck? If it is not a big deal, would you leave it alone or should it be fixed?

If I am looking for something as close to original as possible, would you leave everything as it is?

Would you consider this a nice truck?

Do you think $60,000- price fair for this sample, mileage and condition? If not, what do you think the going price should be?

Thanks ahead for your input!

It’s a nice truck but not $60k to me. PS is not original and I would like to see that total setup for one thing. I would definitely want to see it up close before shelling out that kind of cash.

I agree, at 60k you need to see it in person. I will say this year is rarely seen for sale. The rust if you can repair it professionally for a good price and there is not much to it, this cruiser will go up in value. But I think 45k is a better price for it and 60k would be a no rust vehicle. No rust, original paint and no issues, maybe 60k+ on an auction.

I have a usa 83 as well with factory A/C and P/S. In the process of putting some tlc in it. I have been trying to sell my 78 fj40 to fund the 83 but not getting as much interest as I want. This 83 may end up on the classifieds here shortly.

Love the blue, good luck with the sale

I think you are spot on.

I thought 83 US models got 5 speed transmissions. Anyone, Anyone know, Anyone...?
Your thinking about 83-84 Canadian spec BJ42s, I don't think I've ever seen a FJ4x that came with a factory 5 spd.

Much easier to swap an H55 into an 83 though

This one would be worth 60k if it only had the digital clock :flipoff2:
