Getting through the backlog of production delays, Dobinsons have finally released and we now have stock of the new mounting kit to fit Dobinsons hydraulic bump stops into the back of an 80 series. We aren't sure when the fronts will be arriving (they've been designed, waiting on production), so we're going to give out the info on the rears for now.

Introductory price is $830.00 US and shipping is free for a limited time.

  • Complete hydro bump stop kit to replace the factory coil isolator and internal bump stop
  • Suits Toyota Land Cruiser 80 Series and Lexus LX450 1990-1997
  • CNC Machined 50mm Billet Aluminum Piston
  • EDP Coated 3mm Thick 56mm Steel Body
  • Threaded Body For Height Adjustment to adjust when the stop will engage
  • Supplied with both Interchangeable Super Quiet Rubber Rod End & Hard Nylon
  • 30mm Micro Polished Hard Chrome Shaft
  • Slow Rebound Valving To Prevent Bucking
  • Removable Dust Cover Boot For Stealth Appearance
  • Fully Rebuildable & Tunable
  • O-Ring Travel Indicator
  • Heavy Duty Extreme-Race style Triple Seal Design
  • Nitrogen Gas Charged & Tunable (100 to 300 PSI)
  • Extra Short Dead Lengths For Compact Fitment
  • Includes full fit kit, 2 hydro bump stops, and spacer blocks for frame-mounted external bump stops
  • Kit Includes:
    • HBS59-019FK Mounting Kit
    • HBS56-009 Hydraulic Bump Stops
  • 46mm – 1.8″ stroke, 105mm – 4″ thread length, 188mm – 7.4″ extended length, 142mm – 5.6″ compressed length

So why would you run these? Under these situations for example:
  • Your truck is so heavy that you regularly bottom out and need better bottom out control
  • Your truck is lightly sprung so that you can do certain types of driving (aka crawling/flexing), but you bottom out when offroad quite easily
  • You're looking for a high performance bump stop replacement instead of just replacing the external bump stops on the frame
  • You just got your tax return and need to spend that cash before your wife gets it
  • You maintain a low ride height, keeping you COG low, and there's not a lot of room between your bump stops and the contact point (bottoming out frequently)
  • Overall, you need better bottom out control so that your vehicle doesn't pitch and roll weirdly when you do bottom out your suspension, which would increase your handling, and also take a load off your shocks when they hit a level of full compression. These are essentially an additional pair of shocks to just handle the bottom-outs.

Cheers to Dobinsons for continuing to put great R&D and innovative products out for our 80 Series. That is great news, and much appreciated. Anyone who asks me about suspension for a Land Cruiser - I just tell them to contact Dob's. The expertise and breadth of products is unparalleled. Great work.

That's great man. Yeah, they're definitely on top of these platforms, especially considering how long it's been since they were discontinued!!
