Looking good.

Not sure how the LV seats are but from my experience with the SWB I would consider going thick on the drivers seat as it will eventually compress and give you less leg support when driving. My right leg gets fatigued now that the seat padding has compressed a bit.

I saw a trick on YouTube I might try when the time comes. The guys cut small squares (maybe 4"×4") of 1/2" ish thick foam and put between each level of the spring's coils in the seat. Haven't tried it yet but sure seems like that might help with the sag.

It wouldn't work well with the open base as pictured, but on my '69 FJ40, I packed the space between the springs with poly fill. The FJ40 seat had a steel sheet panel below the seat frame which helped to contain the poly fill. I used 2 bags from Jo-Anns/Michaels for just the drivers seat, so I suspect 6-8 bags would provide a very firm feel and good support on a seat that is full width like that. It is firm, maybe firmer than some would prefer, but I couldn't stand the bounciness from just the springs alone.

Played around with stripper today.. got the yellow off but the primer is still over the red but white pretty much came off. Will most likely paint it all🤟 Pics of the experiment.. and looked at my toyopet rear handle under the chrome cover.

Yellow is coming off nicely. Below the grey primer is the orig red and white. Will try acetone and scotch bright pad to massage the grey off and see how it looks. Most likely repaint but could get a nice patina.

Will try that ! Thanks for info.

Got some proper wheels now (thanks Joe!) and mounted my new mirrors from @slocruisers! She’s looking more proper slowly but surely!

That is an amazing LV. Looks like it has an excellent new home!!!! Keep up the good work. Any plans for the cab lights? They would look nice on my '47 ford one ton pickup.

Dang… too late I put the lights in the trash after I removed them. It’s a fun project . My latest stumbling block is the man a fre Rochester 2bbl carb that he installed. I have rebuilt it a few times and still idles fine but won’t rev worth a darn. Thinking of ditching the man a fre intake and looking for a stock intake and carb.

Back to working on the LV. Got it running ok… moved it into a spot at my friends shop to start making door cards then get seats and door cards upholstered. Then start on paint… might do interior then leave outside as is for a while and enjoy as is. That part of the plan is up in the air.. it’s got a Bronco for a sibling now to joint the fleet of cruisers. Pics of the move..

Played around with removing the primer to see how much patina could be saved… door jams will be easy.. the primer is thick and the citrus strip did not work well on it . Tried 400 wet sand and it’s slow but working … want to try a a few ways before doing whole car. Also bought a 1977 fj40 “rusty” to take the motor and possible trans/t case and disc front axle.

Bought this yesterday to use as a donor drivetrain for my LV but…. It runs great and has a really solid tub minus rear sill and front fenders.. might try and save it also.

You can probably clean that 40 up, and turn a healthy profit to dump into the LV
